The brief

Women Creating Wealth wanted their first-ever magazine to do more than list names and businesses — it needed to feel like a keepsake: something a reader would hold onto, and something the featured entrepreneurs would be proud to share. I was brought on to shape the publication from concept to final layout.

What I did

I designed the inaugural Women Creating Wealth Magazine, highlighting Ugandan women entrepreneurs' stories through impactful layouts, bold visuals, and a cohesive design system that reflected empowerment rather than a generic corporate template.

That meant making editorial decisions as much as design ones: which stories opened the issue, how much white space a portrait needed to breathe, and how to keep a consistent visual voice across more than a dozen very different businesses and personalities.

The outcome

The result was a publication that reads less like a directory and more like a narrative — a collection of stories of Uganda's women entrepreneurs, bound together by a single, confident design language. It became a reference point for how the organization wanted future editions to look and feel.

Why this project matters to me

Not every project I take on is about lead generation. This one is a reminder that marketing and design skills are also storytelling skills — and that the same attention to detail that optimizes an ad campaign can help make sure someone's business story is told well.
