Study in China: Influencer-Led Scholarship Outreach
Managed influencer recruitment and outreach for Eduserv's 'Study in China' scholarship program, driving qualified student sign-ups.
Study in China: Influencer-Led Scholarship Outreach
The brief
Eduserv Education needed to raise awareness for its "Study in China" fully-funded scholarship program and convert that awareness into actual student applications — a longer, higher-consideration journey than a typical product campaign, since students needed to trust the opportunity before committing to an application.
My approach
I managed influencer recruitment and oversight for the campaign, identifying voices that Eduserv's target students — prospective university applicants across Uganda — already trusted, then briefing and coordinating them to promote the scholarship program consistently and credibly.
Rather than a single burst of posts, the campaign was run as sustained outreach: recruiting the right influencer partners, keeping messaging consistent across each of them, and tracking which channels were actually producing serious inquiries versus passive interest.
The results
The campaign achieved 5 confirmed student sign-ups through strategic outreach — a meaningful result for a scholarship funnel where each sign-up represents a genuine, verified applicant rather than a low-intent click.
The takeaway
Influencer marketing for education and scholarship programs lives or dies on trust, not reach. Picking fewer, more credible partners and managing them closely produced better outcomes than a wider, shallower push would have.
